Northwest Expressions 

a summer show

This annual juried exhibition celebrates the artists of our region. Photographers, fiber artists, sculptors, painters and mixed media artists have filled Jeanette Best Gallery with their dazzling two- and three-dimensional creations.

Juried by local artist and educator Anne Pfeiffer, Northwest Expressions includes 49 works by 34 makers from 16 cities. After much deliberation, Anne selected Marian Morris' painting "Northwest Island" for the Juror's Choice Award.

On Saturday, August 1 at 3 p.m., Anne will give a juror's talk on the selection process for the exhibit. She will highlight a sampling of the pieces in the show, discuss what makes them stand out, and conduct a Q & A.

Gallery visitors are also encouraged to cast their ballots in the People's Choice Award box; the winner of the $250 prize will be announced at the close of the show.
