KELLI MacCONNELL of Chimacum pays homage to the Pacific Northwest landscape in her stunning relief prints. In her practice, she strives to honor the profound beauty of the natural world, and elicit reconsideration of our place within it.
“I have forever been enchanted by the expanse that lies between land and sky,” Kelli writes. “The beauty and mystery provided by this planet is a powerful inspiration to me. I’m in awe of the phenomena and interdependence of all life here."With the use of black and white, mark-making and minimal color, she create dramatic memoirs and monuments of the Earth’s landscape, in hopes of cultivating reverence for nature.
