Ars Poetica
artists responding to poetry
March 19 - May 4
To create this exhibit, artists from Northwind Art School's February "Paint from Poems" course chose poems by Northwest writers who participated in the Ars Poetica project. With teaching artist Meg Kaczyk's guidance, each has responded with visual art. The show displays the words and images side by side, tapping into the reciprocity between art forms.
Join us in the gallery for the Ars Poetica poetry reading at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25.

Migration
featuring Kate Flores, Mary O'Shaughnessy, Carolyn King and Loran Scruggs
August 13 - September 28
The idea for this exhibition, which takes us from summer into autumn, was originally sparked by the more than 350,000 birds that migrate over Jefferson County, Washington, in the spring and fall.
The artists themselves come from different parts of this continent. In their work, these four makers explore many kinds of migration and movement: of wildlife, people, patterns in textile design, and the development of visual ideas.
