DESCRIPTION
Explore the exciting world of digital art in this two-day class, taught by artist Michelle Hagewood. This course is designed for artists who want to integrate digital tools into their creative process, using Procreate. Whether you’re completely new to digital art or have some experience, you’ll learn how to use Procreate to evolve and experiment with your work. Before attending, please make sure to bring a tablet with a stylus (such as an Apple Pencil) and have Procreate downloaded and ready to use.
Over the course of the class, you’ll dive into the fundamentals of Procreate, an intuitive and powerful app for creating digital art. Michelle will guide you through techniques for using the digital medium to draft, experiment, and modify your work. You'll explore how to incorporate photography into your digital process, how to edit and layer images, and how to blend digital elements with traditional artwork seamlessly.
By the end of the course, you’ll have gained confidence in moving between digital and physical media, using Procreate as a tool for creative exploration. You’ll leave with a set of digital pieces, as well as the knowledge to apply these methods to your ongoing art practice. Perfect for artists who want to experiment with new techniques, this hands-on course will open up a world of possibilities for using pixels to enhance your process.
