This class will meet in Northwind Art's Jeanette Best Gallery where participants can view and interact with contemporary art. Group leader Joanne Clarkson will present examples about ways writers through the ages have not only written about art, but have written through it, taking the spirit of the work to craft their own visions.

During the workshop three exercises will be presented that writers can use to approach a new piece of writing. After time spent working students can share their drafts. Participants will be invited to submit work for a community reading event later in the year.
