"Explore the boundless world of abstract art in this engaging 3-hour workshop led by renowned artist Xin Xin. Designed for beginner and intermediate artists, this session invites you to break free from traditional forms and embrace creative expression. Through guided prompts and exercises, you’ll learn strategies to let go of fixed concepts of artistic expression, explore artistic voice, and experiment with shape, color, and texture.
Whether you’re seeking to expand your artistic practice or simply enjoy the therapeutic act of freeform creation, Abstract Free Play is a space to explore, express, and unleash your creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment. Bring an open mind and a willingness to play!"

- Watercolor sets

Xin Xin (pronounced sh-ee-n sh-ee-n) is a self-taught artist who explores healing traumatic emotions through watercolor and paper weaving abstraction. Xin was born in Beijing, China, and emigrated to Washington with family when she was twelve years old. Xin graduated from the University of Washington with B.A. in Communication and Sales. After two years of working in corporate, Xin decided to solo travel the world for four years. Art has been a consistent theme in Xin’s life since she was three years old. She continued to expand her artistic skills and pursued art as a way of self-healing.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).
Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee).
Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).
Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
