DESCRIPTION
In this workshop we will delve into the complex world of human anatomy and proportion, and how to get it right in your artwork! The human body is a wonder of symmetry and grace, and is really not that complicated to draw once you know the formula. Using step-by-step procedures you will learn the rules of basic anatomical proportion, relativity, differences between masculine and feminine, and how to translate correct proportion into gesture.

This class is appropriate for those just beginning to draw as well as more advanced artists. This one-day workshop is part of a series of three workshops that break down the human figure. They can be purchased as an individual stand-alone workshop, or as a three-part intensive to get you started on some of the more challenging aspects of capturing the human figure.

All supplies will be provided with the materials fee, although students are welcome to bring their own pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sketch books, etc., if desired.

ABOUT NONIE
Nonie Gaines holds a BFA and is a Certified Art Instructor, award-winning art teacher and artist. She won 2014 Honorable Mention and 2015 Best in Show in the PT Wearable Art Show, and exhibits in local galleries. Her deep experience working with all ages and abilities makes learning art exciting and fun.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).

Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee).

Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).

Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead.
