DESCRIPTION
Join artist Barbara Henderson for a one-day workshop where you will create a stunning 12-inch round mosaic mirror. This kaleidoscope-like art piece will give you experience using a variety of materials, including glass and beads. Designed for both beginners and intermediate crafters, this four-hour class will introduce essential mosaic techniques such as tesserae placement, color design, and cutting and shaping materials to fit your unique vision. You will have the flexibility to position a 5-inch round mirror anywhere in your composition.

All materials and tools are provided, making this an easy, stress-free creative experience. While you will complete your mosaic during class, grouting will be done at home after the adhesive has fully dried. To ensure a smooth finishing process, Barbara will provide a live grout demonstration and access to a detailed instructional video so you can confidently complete your piece. Whether you're looking to explore a new artistic medium, create a meaningful handmade gift, or add a unique touch to your home décor, this workshop offers a fun and inspiring opportunity to learn and create. No prior mosaic experience is required—just bring your enthusiasm!

ABOUT BARBARA
Barbara Henderson is a passionate mosaicist dedicated to helping others discover their creativity through the art of mosaics. Having embraced art later in life after a career in the corporate world, she now loves guiding students as they uncover their unique artistic vision. Barbara's favorite motto is, "Perfection can be purchased at the dollar store. Art and beauty are found in the unique and flawed." She lives in Gig Harbor with her husband, along with an ever-growing collection of dogs and chickens.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).

Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee). 

Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).

Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
