DESCRIPTION
Join master craftsman Andre Ponticello for a fun and immersive one-day Life Casting Workshop, where you and your partner or buddy (or shucks, how about your mom?), will create a lasting memory—literally. In this hands-on session, each participant will make a lifelike plaster cast of their casting partner’s face, capturing every detail in a timeless sculpture. Whether you're looking for a meaningful gift, a creative date idea, or just a unique experience to share with a loved one, this workshop is the perfect way to make memories—and take them home with you. No prior experience needed—just bring your partner, bestie, or your mom!
Guided by Andre’s expert instruction, you'll learn the fundamentals of life casting, including model preparation, mold application using skin-safe rubber and plaster bandages, and casting techniques that bring your creation to life. Students will walk away with a reusable mold of their casting partner and their own face! Safety and comfort are prioritized throughout the process, with all materials and tools provided.
The workshop fee covers two participants. Please wear studio-appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting messy—this is a hands-on, creative process where a little plaster might go a long way! Whether you're an artist or a curious beginner, this is your chance to dive into the fascinating world of life casting and create something truly personal.
