DESCRIPTION
If you are wanting to expand your collection of collage papers this is the class for you. Using a Gelli plate and acrylic paints we will create unique monoprints in many colors with wonderful patterns and designs. We will produce different values from bright, vibrant colors to muted tones. Stencils, molding paste, and mark making tools will all be used to enhance your papers. Once your library of papers has grown, you will be ready to begin collage projects.

SUPPLY INFORMATION
The materials fee will provide students with nitrile gloves, substrate paper for the monoprints, palette paper, stencils, and mark making tools.

Students should bring:

  • Paper towels.
  • 8” x 10” Gelli plate.
  • Scissors.
  • Acrylic paints in assorted colors either basic and/or fluid acrylics.
  • 3” or 4” rubber brayer.
  • Jar lids of various sizes.
  • Paint brushes.
  • Baby wipes.
  • Spray bottle for water.
  • Possible papers to print on including pages from books, maps, musical scores, and scrapbook papers.
  • Optional: stencils, stamps.

ABOUT ANNE
Having lived in Port Townsend for over 30 years, Anne Schneider emerged from retirement as a mixed media collage artist. While learning techniques in collage artistry from teachers across the country, she found her own unique voice, bringing a lively palette to abstraction. She is a member of Port Townsend Gallery with work in many private collections.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).

Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee).

Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).

Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead.All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment.
