DESCRIPTION
Discover the art of creating hollow forms in metal in this engaging two-day workshop with expert metalsmith Carin Jones. Hollow forms are a versatile technique perfect for crafting larger, lightweight designs while conserving materials. They're also ideal for functional pieces like containers, beads, or memorial jewelry.
In this workshop, you'll design and fabricate your own custom hollow beads, learning the essential principles of hollow form construction. You'll have the freedom to explore unique shapes, sizes, and textures, with Carin providing guidance and support to help bring your ideas to life.
On the second day, you'll learn how to adapt and expand these techniques for a variety of design concepts, equipping you to incorporate hollow forms into your own artistic practice.
This is an intermediate-level class, so you should have prior experience with soldering, sawing, and filing. Join us for two days of skill-building and creative exploration in metalwork!
