ROGER MORRIS got into digital painting a decade ago, after many years of studying and making art. He creates digital fine art prints, and has exhibited at Northwind Art since 2016.
Roger started out doing some painting as a young man, but as he grew up overseas — mostly in Saudi Arabia — and did a lot of international travel, he gave it up for quite a while in favor of photography.
By the 1990s, Roger returned to painting in oils and acrylics, and moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 2000. The artist lives in Sequim, and has worked en plein air with a Port Townsend-based group of painters. His training includes art courses at the University of California at Davis, the University of Maryland, Maryland College of Art and Design, and Peninsula College based in Port Angeles, along with various regional painting workshops.
