LYNDA BURGAN seeks to make every day count by exploring, walking local trails and
beaches, and now painting. She graduated from Everett Community College with an associate of arts degree in Fine Art photography, and went on to a career that included portrait photography and a book titled 78 Beaches.
It was during the Covid pandemic that Lynda began painting. She had the time and the solitude, and she wanted to dispel the drear with art: color-drenched, painted bouquets of blooms.
“Who doesn’t love flowers?,” Lynda asks, adding they give her a moment of cheer and good feeling.
The Snohomish artist finds her fresh flowers from you-pick farms or neighbors’ yards, or she picks wildflowers. She likes to go back to the farms and yards to show people the paintings she created.
Lynda describes herself as retired — and enjoying life.
