CORINNE HUMPHREY of Port Townsend believes we can learn much from our beloved
pets about life, love — and silly exuberance, as she puts it. Corinne’s bold, whimsical art highlights universal themes, inspired by her former shelter dogs Rudy and Adobe. In acrylic on canvas and mixed-media collage, this artist seeks to express their everyday joy, to elicit a smile and provide an antidote to the stressors of today’s headlines.
Corinne has also turned her “The Tao of Rudy” series of paintings into illustrations for award-winning picture books and for stage adaptations with young thespians at the Egyptian Youth Theater in Park City, Utah. Her paintings have appeared in galleries and art festivals from Virginia to Texas to Utah to Washington state.
