DAN TORPEY recently found glass. After working
in several mediums during his career — drawing,
quilting, mechanical wooden automata or kinetic
sculptures — he uses glass to embrace color as
well as his love of gardening and the outdoors.
Dan’s pieces are designed to be out in the elements, where the changing sunlight creates a dynamic visual display of color and substance. He makes his art to bring light and color to a landscape throughout the seasons; his artworks may also be hung on a wall, indoors or out.
