LOCATION: In Person at Building 306, Fort Worden, Port Townsend. (COVID protocol will be observed, read our policies here)
DESCRIPTION
Join Anne Schneider in creating sets of series of abstract art pieces in varying sizes, using just collage, no paint! You will be guided with color selection, composition, shapes and the techniques of collage art to make your pieces look like they belong to be viewed together. We will finish the day by reviewing your sets of series to select marks and doodles to provide the finishing touches to your work.
SUPPLY INFORMATION
You will need to bring:

Acrylic matte medium or Mod Podge

Brush for the adhesive

Collage papers from your own collection, include many colors, neutral colors and black and white papers. These can include maps, text pages, musical scores

Black and white paint pens, fine point and regular point

Heat gun, optional

Scissors

We will be working on heavy watercolor paper treated with gesso as substrates which will be provided by the teacher

ABOUT ANNE
Having lived in Port Townsend for over 30 years, Anne Schneider emerged from retirement as a mixed media collage artist. While learning techniques in collage artistry from teachers across the country, she found her own unique voice, bringing a lively palette to abstraction. She is a member of Port Townsend Gallery with work in many private collections.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).
Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee).
Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).
Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
