LOCATION: Building 306, Fort Worden, Port Townsend. (COVID protocol will be observed, read our policies here)

DESCRIPTION
Realistic drawing is the essential foundation of every form of art! If you want to learn the fundamentals of realistic drawing in pencil, this weekend workshop is for you. Using a variety of techniques and materials, students will learn an eight-step process for drawing three-dimensional subjects with an emphasis on form, depth, value and texture. We will also cover basic composition, linear perspective, and observational drawing (drawing from life). The techniques you learn will provide you with a visual language to help you express your personal artistic vision.

All skill levels are welcome! Supplies will be provided by your supply fee, although students are welcome to bring personal items such as battery-operated erasers or pencil sharpeners. There will be a one-hour break for lunch mid-class.

ABOUT NONIE 
Nonie holds a BFA and is a Certified Art Instructor, award-winning art teacher, and artist. She won 2014 Honorable Mention and 2015 Best in Show in the PT Wearable Art Show and exhibits in local galleries. Her deep experience working with all ages and abilities makes learning art exciting and fun.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).

Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee). 

Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).

Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
