This hands-on class will teach you how to navigate and problem-solve for irregular shapes, sizes, and materials.

Techniques covered include tab, prong, pinning, capping, reverse bezel settings, and drilling found objects. By the end of the workshop, you'll complete a unique and beautiful charm necklace while gaining a wealth of new skills to enhance your jewelry-making repertoire.

This intermediate-level class requires experience with soldering, sawing, and filing. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your skill set and create something extraordinary!

ABOUT CARIN
Carin Jones is a full-time working metalsmith out of Kingston, Washington. Her work focuses on contemporary wearable art jewelry. She has been defining out of the box techniques for over 15 years as a part of her own craft.  Carin received her bachelor of science degree in zoology from Western Washington University, and studies art processes in a similar manner; always questioning possibilities. Her work has been published in magazines including Rio Grande and American Craft Council. She has been featured both as an emerging artist through the American Craft Council as well as exhibited with internationally recognized jewelry artists at Pistachio's Gallery in Chicago, IL.  Carin brings years of teaching experience both in large-format settings and individualized one on one curriculum in her personal studio.  She believes the more techniques you have in your toolbelt, the more free you can be creatively.
