DESCRIPTION
In this session, we'll become acquainted with Faith Ringgold, an artist, author and activist who celebrated Black joy. We'll talk about how she made art that portrayed America from a female perspective; in a simple art project we'll draw inspiration from her lithographs and explore her singular artistic style.

Teaching artist Lorelei Amato is the host of this community-building discussion and celebration of women-identifed artists. No previous experience in art history or art-making is required;  just bring your curiosity!

SUPPLY INFORMATION
All materials and supplies are provided. Students are encouraged to bring a notebook and sketchbook.
