DESCRIPTION
Ignite your creativity in this fast-paced, hands-on class as you explore the vibrant world of glass-on-metal jewelry. No experience is needed and all materials are provided for this workshop with teaching artist Aran Galligan. In this single session, you get to learn the fundamentals of kiln-fired enamel and create unique wearable pieces! You'll sift and sprinkle colored glass onto copper, fire it in a kiln, and attach findings to create either a pair of earrings, two pendants, or two ornaments — each of which is perfect for holiday gifting.
We'll work with pre-cut copper shapes, allowing you to focus on learning the enamel process. This two-hour class covers how to apply enamel, how to determine when it's ready to come out of the kiln, and how to finish your pieces so you can wear them home.
