Drawing Buildings in Two-Point Perspective
JULY 11
Regular price $75.00DATES: SATURDAY, JULY 11, 2026
TIME: 10:00AM – 1:00PM PDT
LEVEL: Beginner to Intermediate
AGE GROUP: Adult (ages 18+)
LOCATION: Building 306, Fort Worden, Port Townsend.
DESCRIPTION
Whether you sketch, draw, or paint in any style, from photos or by observation, it is hard to create a convincing building if you don't understand two-point perspective. If you have ever watched an urban sketcher or plein air painter quickly draw the lines of the building — making it appear to be perfectly three-dimensional — you know they learned the two-point perspective concepts, and then practiced until it became intuitive.
Teaching artist Anne Pfeiffer will demonstrate and explain both a simple two-point perspective exercise and how to apply it to a building. After practicing, we will move outside and sketch the wonderful buildings close by on the Fort Worden grounds.
