DESCRIPTION
Join us for a winter mending circle and learn to repair your cold-weather knitwear by hand. Together we'll darn our sweaters, socks, and delicate wool base layers. We’ll be focusing on hand-sewing and visible mending techniques.
Students should bring current mending projects such as knit socks and sweaters with holes, wool base layers with runs or holes, or T-shirts and blouses in need of mending. Please bring any project-specific threads, patch fabric, buttons, needles and scissors that you like to work with.
SUPPLY INFORMATION
Your non-refundable materials fee covers embroidery hoops, round tip needles in various sizes for wool darning, and high quality darning thread. Please bring any project-specific threads, patch fabric, buttons, needles and scissors that you like to work with.

ABOUT ALEXA
Alexa Anderson is a textile artist and natural dyer working on the Olympic Peninsula. She creates place-based art informed by craft tradition. Her work engages second-use textiles, found natural materials, and plant pigments in an effort to center her values of engaging with what already exists, working within the parameters of place and seasonality, and promoting a healthy relationship to production and personal lifestyle.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will be notified and receive a 100% refund.
Students withdrawing from a course at least seven days prior to the first day of class will receive a 90% refund.
Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund—except for illness or injury, in which case students are eligible to receive a 40% refund.
Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered a non-refundable deposit to cover administrative overhead. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
