DESCRIPTION
Let the color wheel change your life! Here's a fun Sunday session where you get to practice mixing a range of colors beyond your paint-tube set, as well as perfect your brush handling and paint consistency.
We start with making a color wheel, which we then use to decide what new colors to mix in chart form. Whatever your level as an artist, making mixing charts periodically will enhance your practice. From saturated colors to neutrals, we will mix them all in this vivid workshop.
SUPPLY INFORMATION
- Your favorite mixing tray or palette, although we have some you can use.
- Watercolor paper for watercolor, gouache, or acrylic. A few canvas panels for oil or thicker acrylic.
- A sketchbook/notebook for making some notes.
- Optional: a table top easel.
COURSE DETAILS

ABOUT ANNE
Anne Pfeiffer has a graduate degree in painting and decades of experience as a high school art teacher, community college art instructor, and adult and teen workshop instructor. She currently lives in Port Angeles and paints landscapes and still lifes, often plein air, and participates in regional and national exhibitions and events.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will be notified and receive a 100% refund of the course enrollment fee.
Students withdrawing from a course at least seven days prior to the first day of class will receive a 90% refund of the course enrollment fee.
Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund—except for illness or injury, in which case students are eligible to receive a 40% refund of the course enrollment fee.
Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered a non-refundable deposit to cover administrative overhead. Any donation given at the time of checkout is also non-refundable. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
