DESCRIPTION
Come and learn about the unique printing process using the Risograph! Risograph printing is a method that can be thought of as digital screen printing. It is known for its vivid colors not achieved by other kinds of printers, and for its imperfections and unique texture. Local Risograph artist Shannon Kidd is thrilled to offer an introductory course that covers Risograph printing basics and history!

In this two-hour workshop, you'll become comfortable with the multi-layered process of printing work on the unusual Risograph machine. Together, we will focus on narration and storytelling, to create a group project that everyone gets to take home at the end of the class! After this course, you will also be familiar with the printing process and know how to prepare and set up images for sending work for printing by Risograph studios.

ABOUT SHANNON
Shannon Kidd is a design educator and Riso tech who has been working with finicky machines for almost a decade. Their practice is informed by community and storytelling, and the usage of the Riso helps bring that work to life with juicy colors. When not illustrating and printing flyers on the Riso, they can be found zipping around the peninsula on their bike or rooting around in the dirt in search of some fresh inspiration.
