Who gets remembered—and who gets left out—when we tell the story of art? Join us as we become better acquainted with women-identified artists. Their lives and works challenge the dominant narrative!

In these community-building discussions, we'll delve into the vibrant, politically charged story quilts of Faith Ringgold, shaped in the wake of the Civil Rights Movement; the hallucinatory polka-dotted worlds of Yayoi Kusama, who channels her experience living with mental illness into powerful, immersive work; and of course, Frida Kahlo, whose fiercely personal imagery often gets flattened into pop culture iconography.

Each class includes a project designed to build community and inspire personal reflection and discovery. No previous experience in art history or art-making is required;  just bring your curiosity!
