DESCRIPTION
This four-session course is about using your lived experiences to inform your art-making practice. You will leave this class having created a series of artworks informed by your own life and personal narrative. Behind the scenes of our lives, hidden in sketchbooks and scattered across floors, are ideas explored and sometimes prematurely dismissed. By digging through the fragments of our experiences, casting a net over the conversations that are quietly scribbled down, an arrangement can be assembled to tell a story. Learning how to see, unravel, and follow the partially concealed stories as they unfold can help us better understand ourselves. This class is an invitation to peel back layers, to kindle your own curiosity, and awaken to your feet at the precipice of something.
