DESCRIPTION
Drawing from her own studio practice and life experience, teaching artist Meg Kaczyk guides you through an art journaling process that allows your everyday life to illuminate your journey through loss and grief. All of us carry loss and heartbreak, from sources as varied as we are. By staying in the now, and also diving into your grief, you can transform this emptiness into a fullness of being.

In this class series, you will use observations of your daily life to inform art making in your sketchbook with media of your choice (collage, paint, pencil, mixed media, etc.); you’ll be guided in prompted writing sessions and you’ll be inspired by writings from others. By joining together the present and the remembered, your art journal can open up your sense of an emerging self. All levels welcome.

Note: this is not a traditional grief support group. If you are experiencing deep grief trauma, there are many wonderful counselors available locally.
