Woodland Jubilation: Mixed Media Tiles

DESCRIPTION
Unleash your creativity in this joyful, hands-on mixed media workshop with artist Erika Wurm. Starting with a 6"x6" wooden tile as your base, you’ll dive into a playful world of hand-drawn creatures — create your own or choose from Erika’s delightful collection. We'll use bold materials and express our imaginations. With paper, fabric, wire, paint and more, you’ll experiment with layering to create pieces full of texture, depth and personality.

This class invites you to explore freely—combining materials in unexpected ways and discovering how simple reposition of the design elements can bring your ideas to life. You're encouraged to bring personal touches like paper scraps, photographs, or bits of fabric that spark your imagination. Erika will gently guide you through the creative process, offering tips and techniques to help your vision take shape. All levels are welcome, and all essential supplies are provided.

ABOUT ERIKA
Erika Wurm is an eco-conscious mixed media artist who uses repurposed materials to challenge herself creatively and minimize waste in her studio. Her work is deeply inspired by a lifelong love of nature and her years as a professional horticulturist. Erika often highlights endangered species of flora and fauna in her art, blending scientific curiosity with her signature Wurm-y whimsy. Through her playful, thoughtful creations, she hopes to spark wonder and inspire others to care for the incredible world we share.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).

Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee). 

Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).

Please note that 10% of every course registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
