DESCRIPTION
Using steel wire, mixed materials and found objects, play with the laws of equilibrium to create kinetic mobiles. Work with lightweight delicate elements in union with heavier components using rods and various gauges of wire, chain, and linked pieces to balance these opposing objects. Explore micro welding wire, jump ring and chain making, ball bearing swivels, and other elements to create dynamic hanging sculptures. Discover how balance is deceptive as you watch your suspended work rotate freely in response to air currents or a gentle push.

ABOUT CHRISTINE
Christine Clark is an artist living and working in Portland, OR. Her work focuses on public art, installation art, and abstract sculpture in steel, steel wire, and mixed materials.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cannot attend a course for any reason, we can offer you a refund as follows:

• If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the course start date, you will receive a full refund.
• If you cancel less than 2 weeks before course start date, you will receive a 50% refund.
• If you cancel one week or less before the course start date, there will be no refund.
