DESCRIPTION
Have you ever seen painters out in the field capturing the beauty of the landscape before them and wish you could do that?  Well, you can! Painting outside can be an exhilarating experience. Join Tracy Grisman in this two-day workshop covering plein aire basics – alla prima style – to get you started on what could be a lifelong adventure of learning and creating. You’ll learn tips on choosing what to paint, materials, set up, light and shadow, color choices, composition, block in and development.

SUPPLY INFORMATION

• Easel and palette
• Paints: oils, pastel, acrylic (Tracy will demo in oils)
• Brushes: three sizes of flats, filberts.
• Canvas or boards of preference: standard sizes up to 16” x 20”

ABOUT TRACY
Tracy Grisman learned to paint with oils at Philadelphia College of Art in 1976 having earned a Saturday school scholarship for young painters. Then while earning her B.S.N., Tracy learned more about the medium from Gary Moeller at Rogers State College (1986). Since then she has studied with Craig Nelson, Camille Przewodek, Max Ginsburg and others and earned her MFA IA from Goddard College.
