DESCRIPTION
Picture yourself making books and comics! Join Dana Sullivan, writer/illustrator of more than 25 picture books and graphic novels, for this intensive, creative adventure focusing on playful doodling, storyboarding, creative mayhem, and colorful messes. You’ll end up with a book dummy and the confidence to submit your book! Open to all levels of artistic training. Stick figures welcome. A perfect class for illustrators AND writers wanting to tell YOUR story. And maybe that kick in the back cover we all need.
SUPPLY INFORMATION
Ream of copy paper
Pad of “Mixed Media” paper, 9”x12”
Pencils
Pencil sharpener
Fine tip sharpies or other black markers
One regular black Sharpie (fat, but not poster size)
One brush tip pen, black
Watercolor set (cheap kid type is fine)
Two watercolor brushes, one medium, one big
Fat Cheap sketch pad, 5.5” x 8.5”
Small bottle of India ink (waterproof)

ABOUT DANA
Dana has written and/or illustrated more than 20 picture books and graphic novels. He’s been teaching adults and kids for more than 10 years. His favorite color is dog and his favorite vegetable is peanut butter. You can find his books, including the Dead Max series, at the library or your favorite bookstore.
