Paint & Pizza: Paint the Western Flyer

LOCATION: In Person at Northwind Art Jeanette Best Gallery, 701 Water Street

Celebrate Wooden Boat Festival by painting a portrait of the Western Flyer! This Purse Seiner was chartered by John Steinbeck and his pal Ed Ricketts, a story told in the renowned book "Sea of Cortez" by Steinbeck. Currently the Western Flyer is undergoing total restoration at Port Townsend Shipwright's Co-op. This class is for ambitious beginners but fun and challenging for anyone! Held downtown at Jeanette Best Gallery – in the heart of all the WBF action – you will also enjoy pizza, beer, wine and cookies!  

• Printed photographs of the Western Flyer are provided for you to work from.
• All other supplies ­are included in this workshop, you just need an apron! If you have paints and tools of your own you prefer, you are welcome to bring them. 
• Pizza, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and cookies are provided too!
