DESCRIPTION
Join Sally Fox for a dynamic online talk designed to address the places we confront our own blocks. We all face creative blocks; what if they weren’t signs of failure, but instead invitations to realign? In this interactive one-hour Zoom talk, we’ll explore how to work with resistance instead of against it by examining what your blocks are trying to tell you. You'll learn how to recognize your own creative patterns, discover how your environment and schedule might be working against your flow, and use design thinking principles to reshape your daily life in support of your creative intentions.

Whether you're an artist, writer, entrepreneur, or simply someone yearning to bring more creative expression into your life, this session will help you:

• Reframe resistance as meaningful feedback

• Identify where you get stuck in the creative cycle

• Understand how your personality influences your creative flow

• Design small, practical shifts in your environment and routine to support easeful expression

• Create an actionable plan to move forward—with gentleness and momentum

You’ll leave with simple, repeatable tools to clarify your next steps and honor your creative self through thoughtful design—of time, space, and mindset.

Bring a journal and your curiosity. This is not a lecture — it’s a collaborative, interactive space to reflect, connect, and reset.

ABOUT SALLY
Author of Meeting the Muse After Midlife: A Journey to Meaning, Creativity, and Joy,
Sally Jean Fox is a writer, storyteller, and coach who helps others design their most creative lives. With a Ph.D. and an MBA, Sally is certified as a Transformative Arts Facilitator through the Awakening Arts Academy in Assisi, Italy. As a leadership and story-crafting coach, she weaves together the strategic, spiritual, and intuitive. Sally has helped hundreds of her clients to “Shape the stories they want to live.” New to visual arts, she has exhibited in her hometown of Vashon, Washington.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If Northwind Art has to cancel a course for any reason, all enrolled students will receive a 100% refund (including any materials fee).

Students who withdraw from a course at least seven days prior to its first meeting will receive a 90% refund (less any materials fee). 

Students withdrawing fewer than seven days from the first day of class are not eligible for a refund except in the case of illness or injury, in which case they are eligible to receive a 40% refund (less any materials fee).

Please note that 10% of every course’s registration fee is considered to be a non-refundable deposit in cases of withdrawal to cover administrative overhead. All refunds will be applied to the same credit card that was used for enrollment. No credits or transfers will be granted.
