LEVEL: Beginner to Advanced
AGE GROUP: Adult (ages 18+), Youth (ages 16-17)
LOCATION: Building 306, Fort Worden, Port Townsend. (COVID protocol will be observed, read our policies here)

DESCRIPTION
Join Michele Soderstrom as she shares techniques and methods for seeing form, light, and shadow across four figure drawing sessions. Her gentle guidance will facilitate your personal style and process. Clothed model sessions will include a series of short gestural drawings to begin with, and then will progress to longer poses toward the middle/end of the sessions. 

For those who wish to join us without instruction, you may do your thing during our sessions. Feel free to bring earbuds if you would rather not listen to quiet instruction.

SUPPLY INFORMATION
Bring your own paper and drawing tools. Northwind Art School has drawing boards available, as well as some easels. Northwind Art also has paper, though purchasing a large pad of newsprint can be a satisfying way to watch your progress.

ABOUT MICHELE
The horse pasture was Michele's grand studio as a child. Self taught, for hours she sat sketching her horse as it grazed. Michele has a BA in Visual Arts Teaching, minor in Studio Art, through Central Washington University, and is an award-winning artist with her equine art. She has taught creativity through art since 2008. Today she paints and sells work professionally. Michele enjoys watching the process of her high school students as they gain art making skills and find their place within personal creativity.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cannot attend a course for any reason, we can offer you a refund as follows:

• If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the course start date, you will receive a full refund.
• If you cancel less than 2 weeks before course start date, you will receive a 50% refund.
• If you cancel one week or less before the course start date, there will be no refund.
