DESCRIPTION
Come learn a shockingly simple way to make improvisational quilt blocks! This technique uses wonky log cabin squares which are then cut to create sets of contrasting yet harmonious blocks. Interested in working without templates or patterns? Want to learn about improv cutting and piecing? This two-day class is for you, even if you're a quilter new to improvisational work and/or new to sewing curves.
For advanced beginner and intermediate quilters; students must be proficient in basic sewing skills.

ABOUT BARBARA
Barbara Ramsey has been a professional quilter for 20 years; her work has been shown at multiple venues in Washington, California, and New York. She has 15 years of quilt teaching experience, with a very participatory, student-focused style aimed at helping people become more confident in their work. She loves to help others as they move from traditional designs to more free-form creations. Barbara feels energized as she watches students learn to improvise with shape and line, create surprising color combos, and gain the confidence to do original work.
