DESCRIPTION
Lauren Altman guides you in hands-on art exercises that nurture your ability to navigate life’s ups and downs with a tactile mixed-media approach. Each session covers a different creative practice designed to help you use your art making to care for yourself and by extension, those around you. No fancy equipment required! All you need is a willingness to explore and some basic supplies. Images shown are student work from the previous Coping Creatively class, this new series will feature fresh creative experiences.
This course will be recorded and a link to the video file sent to students.

Lauren Altman is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design, Master of Arts in Contemporary Art History from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from the University of Pennsylvania – the focus of Lauren’s practice is exploring art as a tool for processing emotions.
