DESCRIPTION
Ready to leave the traditional quilted square behind? In this workshop, you will use different techniques to create a quilted work that breaks the box! Accomplished artist Andrea Alonge will guide you through making a unique wall hanging, as well as  learning about different hanging methods and ways to think about quilt-making. You will begin by gathering source images from architecture, natural elements, or anything else that brings inspiration regarding form and line, and then explore how fabrics and materials can inform the end product. You will leave with a better understanding of how to layer elements, use trim or piping to enhance lines, different hanging treatments, and how to create depth through your material choice or how you cut material.

This is a workshop designed for students with intermediate to advanced sewing skills.
