DESCRIPTION
Older than movies, the animated paper flip book is still a fun and rewarding way to do some animation with a minimum of materials; all you need is a stack of cards, some pencils or other drawing tools, and your imagination.

But there are some tips and tricks to help you make your flip book work really well, and Jim Bradrick, a career animator, will show you all that you need to make your animation flip books fun to view again and again. You can make them for yourself, or create them as gifts for others.

Some things that will be covered:

  • TIMING: How fast should something move? When should it hold still?
  • COLOR: How to use it to best effect, and how to make one color change into another.
  • HOW MANY PAGES? Can a flip book be too long? Can it be too short? The answer to both questions is YES!
  • IF I DON’T DRAW WELL, CAN I STILL MAKE A FLIP BOOK? Yes, absolutely!

Join the fun and learn how to create fascinating and magical animated flip books in this two-week class!
