In this Summer Night Art Camp, Katey guides you through the process of relief printing on fabric. Bring a t-shirt, tablecloth, yardage or old clothing to upcycle and repurpose into beautiful wearable art. Along the way, Katey introduces you to different techniques of relief printing such as linoleum block, woodblock, stamping, vegetable block, and styrofoam printing. Learn about the history of these methods; proper use of tools; and image-making techniques. No previous printmaking experience necessary.
A $10 supply fee payable to the instructor will cover all materials needed.

Katey Rissi holds a BFA in graphic design from Western Michigan University with an undergraduate focus in printmaking. She has worked extensively with stone lithography, relief printing, silkscreen, and mixed media processes. Katey teaches workshops for adults and kids and is a youth art teacher at The Island School on Bainbridge Island.
