DESCRIPTION
Let's get our hands busy with leatherworking in this festive holiday workshop led by local artist Maya Vega Garcia! In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the fundamentals of leathercraft while creating your very own hand-cut, hand-stitched leather wallet.

Maya will guide you through the entire process—from selecting high-quality leather and familiarizing yourself with essential tools, to mastering techniques like marking stitch lines, using stitch chisels, hand stitching, and conditioning your leather for a professional finish.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have a beautifully crafted wallet ready to gift or keep for yourself. Plus, you'll gain the skills and confidence to continue exploring leatherwork on your own. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to create a meaningful, handmade item this holiday season!

SUPPLY INFORMATION
All materials and supplies, including leather, needles, thread, and leather conditioner, are provided with the materials fee. Cutting-tools will be loaned by the instructor to each student.
