ABOUT JULIE
Julie Read is a self-taught acrylic painter, learning the basics from Port Townsend artist and teacher Max Grover. Her painting style is narrative realism, often with a humorous and nostalgic bent. She teaches using traditional painting techniques that produce true-to-life images but encourages her students to find their own painterly style with a broad range of assignments and exercises.
