What are you doing this spring break? Create your own graphic novel!
Using your original story, teaching artist Dana Sullivan will lead you through the process of scripting, storyboarding, pacing, and laying out your graphic novel. You will examine Manga, comics, graphic novels, and picture books for examples of the many different ways to tell YOUR story using illustration and words. You’re the director, adding emotion, drama, and humor to your graphic masterpiece.
Drawing skills are optional, but imagination a must!
(what you’ll need to bring)
Dana Sullivan is the writer and illustrator of a bunch of picture books and the award-winning graphic novel series Dead Max Comix. His sense of humor never graduated from middle school, but his drawings are incredibly sophisticated (not). Dana’s favorite color is dog and his favorite vegetable is peanut butter.
