DESCRIPTION
Looking for new places to draw inspiration? Join teaching artist Leila Block for an evening of taking inspiration from stones. Participants will pull a stone from a bag, and work to sketch it in different ways, focusing on different elements of the stone. Then they will intuitively interpret the stone with the help of The Book of Stones: Who They Are and What They Teach by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian. Playing with instinctive capabilities; studying its color, shape, symbology and meaning they will make a piece of art in any prefered medium that represents the stone or its "teachings". Any and all mediums are welcome. The school is equipped with paper, an assortment of paint, and pens/pencils. Bring your own materials if you want to work in a medium other than this.
