Create an image-based tapestry using humble materials and step-by-step instruction. Visual artist Allyce Wood shares simple weaving techniques using storytelling scenes from life in Norway and Iceland. Texture, color, and pattern come together to create your own unique expression, as well as some experimental methodologies. You will learn woven art form concepts of tension. materiality, thread patterns and elements that contribute to a polished, lasting artwork.

Allyce Wood is an artist and arts educator who creates her artwork using a variety of digital and handmade techniques, specializing in tapestry. She has exhibited her work in solo and group shows locally and internationally. She earned her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts in 2010, and her MFA from KhIO in 2018.
