DESCRIPTION
In this workshop with abstract artist Xin Xin, you will be invited into a world where color, line, texture, form and contemplation are used to express ideas and evoke emotions in a poetic, nonlinear fashion. To understand abstraction, Xin will guide you through exploring the rich history of abstract art and introduce you to what contemporary abstract painters are doing in this unique genre of artistic expression.
You will get to see live demonstrations, practice techniques yourself, and have opportunities to engage in what Xin Xin calls "paint playtime." This is where you will learn how to loosen up, express yourself, and fall in love with abstract art making-- all in the comfort of your home! Join Xin Xin in finding how abstract art has the ability to express what other visual art styles cannot. This is a chance to examine intangible concepts, emotions, and ideas that exist in the realms of mind and spirit rather than in our physical external reality.
