DESCRIPTION
Artists! Do you want to know how to get your work in a gallery? Here is an opportunity to learn from an expert in the field, Ken Hulick, about the relationship between the artist and the gallery. In this course you will get a glimpse into how commercial art galleries operate, and why. The commercial art gallery scene is extremely competitive, and often hard to break into, and Ken would like to help make the process a little easier to navigate. Through this course you will leave with a better understanding of how to approach a gallery, what to expect during the process, and what to do to continue building the relationship after you have been accepted.

This is an opportunity to gain insight into the nuts-and-bolts of gallery operations (commission structures, sales, marketing, delivery of work, shows, etc.) as well as what a relationship with a gallery might look like (staff, other artists, clients). You will be asked to research potential galleries that fit your voice, and then you will be asked to think about what these galleries will be expecting from you in terms of style, professionalism, pricing, framing, and the like.

Don't delay! Take the next step into getting your work shown.
