DESCRIPTION
Join wood and paper mosaic artist Naoko Morisawa in a delightful card-making workshop based on her approach to color and texture in her artwork. You will learn strategies for composition, paper cutting, and how to layer paper to create a dimensional textured card. Over the course of approximately three hours you will use paper to play with principles of mosaic and leave with the ability to create these cards yourself! 

SUPPLY INFORMATION

  • Students should bring tweezers, x-acto knife, pencil, compass and scissors.
  • All other supplies are provided with the $25 material fee.

ABOUT NAOKO
Naoko Morisawa was born in Tokyo, Japan, and studied art at Tama Art University Japan. She has worked as a commercial product designer for Godiva Chocolate and Twining Tea, and taught art classes in Tokyo, Yokohama, and the Canadian Embassy before moving to the PNW in 2004. She has exhibited her work across
the U.S. in more than 30 states, as well as in Japan and Ireland. Her artwork has been selected for national juried exhibitions as well as public art projects in Washington state. Seattle Convention Center, City of Seattle, City of Portland and the SEATAC International Airport are a few of the places that have collected her artwork for their public art collections.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cannot attend a course for any reason, we can offer you a refund as follows:

  • If you cancel more than 2 weeks before the course start date, you will receive a full refund.
  • If you cancel less than 2 weeks before course start date, you will receive a 50% refund.
  • If you cancel one week or less before the course start date, there will be no refund.
