DESCRIPTION
This workshop is an introduction to the cyanotype printing process, a non-silver alternative photography/printing technique originally developed to create blueprints. Experience the range of what is possible with this unique printmaking method under the delightful guidance of Katey Rissi! In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of cyanotype printing, composition, and how to harness this simple but relatively obscure process. Katey’s friendly, fun, hands-on approach will give you a wonderful understanding of this form of printmaking and its creative potential.

ABOUT KATEY
Katey Rissi holds a BFA in graphic design from Western Michigan University with a focus in printmaking. She has worked extensively with relief printing, silkscreen, mixed media processes, and natural dyeing. Katey teaches art to youth and adults throughout the Northwest and is the Programming Coordinator at Alchemy Art Center on San Juan Island.
