DESCRIPTION
Join artist Sue Stanton as she builds on her Introduction to Rock Wrapping. As a timeless art form that has been practiced for centuries and is renowned for its spiritual benefits, wrapping stones enhances positive energy, and helps to create a deeper connection with nature. Today, wrapping rocks has evolved into decorative and spiritual traditions.
Perhaps you have a favorite stone, shell or finding that you hold dear and would like to incorporate into a keepsake. You are encouraged to bring up to three oval, flat, and smooth rocks that will comfortably fit in your hand, (approximately the size of a cell phone) and a few "findings." (Examples: Twig, key, feather, shell, charm, etc.). The materials fee includes wrapping materials and tools.
Our time together will be spent learning some new techniques of rock wrapping and applications for your enjoyment. You will be able to return home with at least one rock that you have wrapped, along with written instructions and a memorable experience. If you did not attend the class for beginning rock wrapping, no worries, beginners are encouraged and welcome to this next step in the process.

ABOUT SUE
Born and raised in Colorado, the thin air and blue skies of the Rocky Mountains were the setting for much of Sue’s artistic beginnings. A childhood fashion statement of muddy little hands, matted hair and dirt-filled shoes reflected Sue’s love of earthy things, sparking her love of textures, pigment & natural elements. Moving to the Pacific Northwest opened a whole new playground of artistic experiments. Sue enjoys creating her art using various mediums. Her passion is to blend elements and give voice to the pieces she develops.
Primarily self-taught, Sue regularly attends classes and workshops. Her work ranges from watercolor, acrylic, finely detailed pen/watercolor work to bright and cheerful 3-D pieces. She has illustrated and published journals and poems, donated pieces to charitable auctions, and has much of her work is in private collections.
Sue moved to Port Townsend in 2012 where she & her husband combine their creative efforts.
